Breeding Guide
Master the breeding system to create rare and powerful pets. Learn recipes, success rates, and optimization strategies.
How to Breed
- Place two compatible animals in your pen
- Open the breeding menu (Recipes tab) and select the two parents
- Wait for the egg to hatch - breeding has a cooldown period (varies by recipe: 1.5-15 minutes)
- Collect your new pet - it may be a duplicate of the parent or a rare result!
Note: Breeding two pets doesn't create a hybrid; instead, it generates a random new pet based on the recipe. This is a great way to "roll" for a better pet without having to go out and hunt in the wild.

Breeding Tips & Strategies
- Level Up Parents: Higher-level parents often produce better results. Feed your breeding pairs before attempting rare recipes.
- Check Requirements: Some recipes require specific parent levels (e.g., min level 5). Check the recipe details before breeding.
- Weather Events: Breeding during weather events (especially Thunderstorms) may increase mutation chances in offspring.
- Cooldown Management: Failed breeding attempts still consume the cooldown timer. Plan your breeding attempts carefully.
- Focus on High-Tier: Pair Legendary + Legendary for best chances at Mythical results, even if success rate is low.
- Avoid Random Breeding: Breeding unrelated animals often results in common offspring that aren't worth the effort.
Breeding Mechanics Explained
Random Results: Breeding doesn't always guarantee an upgrade. Sometimes breeding high-tier animals might still result in a common offspring if you are unlucky.
Recipe Discovery: Catching a new species often unlocks a new recipe. Check your "Recipes" tab frequently to see what combinations are now possible.
Breeding Level: Animals often produce better results if they are at a higher level before breeding. Some recipes require minimum parent levels.
Food & Cooldowns: Food increases XP and reduces breeding cooldowns. Higher-level parents often produce better results.
Mutations in Breeding
Breeding can sometimes produce mutated variants of the offspring, especially during weather events. These mutations include:
- Gold: Golden variants that multiply income - a "Gold Albino" common might be worth more than a basic Rare
- Albino: White/albino variants with special properties
- Glass: Transparent variants
- Rainbow: Colorful variants
- Neon: Glowing variants
- Charged: Electric variants from thunderstorms - look out for "Charged" pets during thunderstorms
- Cosmic: Space-themed variants from cosmic weather events
Pro Tip: During thunderstorms, keep an eye out for "Charged" pets. These mutated variants often provide higher income and are used in special recipes.
